Wingfall

Wingfall grew out of movement — a hike through the Colorado landscape where breath, body, and terrain fall into rhythm.

Inspired by that experience, this piece captures the sensation of being carried by the land itself: the lift that comes from open space, water, and light working together. It’s about momentum without force, about finding balance while still moving forward.

In addition to my usual textile techniques, Wingfall incorporates acrylic paint, allowing color and texture to flow more freely across the surface. The paint moves differently than fabric — less contained, more intuitive — echoing the feeling of being held and propelled at the same time.

Wingfall is a meditation on freedom, elevation, and the quiet support we don’t always notice until we slow down enough to feel it.
